New Terex® TA2SE 2 Tonne Dumper
MOTHERWELL, SCOTLAND, JANUARY 2008 - Demonstrated at their recent customer event in La Manga, Spain, Terex has designed the TA2SE with narrower dimensions and a smaller turning circle than its predecessors to enhance maneuverability so that it can work more efficiently in tight places. The TA2SE is a high discharge, swivel-tip site dumper with a 2 tonne capacity. It is perfectly matched to the bucket capacity of a mini excavator and its discharge height enables tipping into a standard building skip. It is ideally suited to the smaller plant user and rental market.
The TA2 range uses a proven Newage drivetrain and the powerful and reliable 24.5 kW (32.6 hp) Kubota water cooled diesel engine. The TA2 range will be available in a wide variety of tipping and transmission configurations to fit every customer’s need.
The full range will consist of:
TA2

TA2E

TA2S

With 1200 litre heaped skip capacity but only 1492 mm total width and maximum travel speed of 10 mph (16 kph), the new models are sure to prove popular with users who wish to move materials and dirt around tight construction sites.
The TA2SE also has a new gas operated folding ROPS frame for ease of use, plus excellent maintenance access for the engine. Steel tanks have been included, in addition to a tough leg guard, to protect the driver from dirt when operating.
The side exit exhaust system and Venturi helps reduce dust being blown up from the floor, and gives improved impact protection.
The “E” (for ‘elevated discharge’) machines are able to hydraulically raise the skip to enable discharge into a standard builders skip or small truck. The “S” machines have swivel tip skips, enabling easy and simple skip discharge to either side of the machine and also superb accessibility in restricted sites.
Manufactured in Coventry, UK, all models will be built to same exacting standards and high quality that customers throughout the world have come to expect from Terex® site dumpers. Hydrostatic versions will be available in May 2008.
