Breakout Force Brings J&J Miller Back For Ninth Terex® Backhoe
COVENTRY, UK, 26 January, 2009 --- Somerset plant hirer, J&J Miller, has purchased its ninth Terex® 860SX backhoe loader from Terex dealer Kellands, citing its power, versatility and stability as main purchase influencers. The Terex® loader will work mainly for small builders, digging out extensions, hard landscaping, creating driveways and performing many other tasks for farmers in the Somerset area.
J&J Miller, a customer of Kellands for 24 years, needed a machine that could handle the wide variety of jobs demanded of it on a daily basis. After positive experiences with their eight previous Terex® backhoes, they returned to Dave Middleton, Kellands Area Sales Manager, for their ninth purchase.
John Miller said about the sale: “We always return to Kellands for Terex® machines as the breakout force from the loader's front bucket is incredible – it gives our customers increased efficiency as it is possible to get a fuller load, quicker. We were particularly influenced by the wide front wheels of the loader which give excellent stability and flotation, meaning it can work in tough conditions when many other machines give up.
“A huge benefit to our customers is the machine's tight turning cycle of 7.9 metres, making it highly manoueverable and allowing it to work in narrow spaces without the need for using additional machines – great for cost saving. Also, the pushing power and versatility when using the back actor, meets the needs of our client base.
“We pride ourselves in responding quickly to our customers' requests, and as a result of Kellands's excellent back up from their service department and high levels of parts availability from their stores, we have total confidence when making a purchase from them.”
Terex has seven backhoe models, ranging from the 820SX (70kW) through to the 980 Elite machine (74.5kW). The Terex® backhoe's 7-in-1 bucket is useful in a multitude of operations, including flip over pallet forks, lifting eye, dozing, scraping and grading. This makes it a great investment for plant hirers and contractors.
