Terex® Machines Help Concentral Rebuild Coventry

Terex dealer SM Plant Sales has sold two Terex® site dumpers and a tandem roller to Concentral, who will use the machines to help rebuild the city of Coventry.
Concentral Plant Limited part of the Concentral Group, is currently working on Phase 2 of redeveloping part of the historical city centre of Coventry into the new Belgrade Plaza – a mixed-use site which will include a casino, hotel and apartments. Concentral is working on the groundworks for this prestigious scheme as well as all concrete frames. Concentral has only recently started to purchase machinery, having previously hired the majority of their plant and equipment. Their section of the work on the site is planned to be completed by May 2008.
Garth Smith, Director, Concentral Plant Limited said: “Previously, we hired all our machines and equipment, but our new company strategy is to purchase machinery and begin building a plant fleet. We have hired Terex® machines in the past, and the reason that we decided to purchase them was that the machines are very competitive, and we have confidence both in the product and in the superior level of service that Terex and SM Plant Sales offer. Terex is an international organisation and can provide the level of support that we require.”
The deal was for a PS3000 3 tonne site dumper, a PS6000 6 tonne site dumper, and a TV1200 tandem roller – all of which are designed and built at Terex Construction&s Coventry facility, a few miles from the site at Belgrade Plaza. The machines were purchased by Concentral from Pelham Milligan of SM Plant Sales, a long-standing Terex dealer, based in Rugby.
Mr. Smith continued: “We have been in business for about one and a half years, having started as a concrete frame company. Our move into groundwork was a natural progression, as this reduces the interfaces between substructures and piling. We have been very impressed by the service and help given to us by Pelham and we will definitely continue to buy Terex® machines from him in the future, as we continue to develop our business.”
